Jesus the Disciple Caller

Read this passage: Luke 5:1-11

Amazing story – Jesus called those individual men to begin the work of telling the whole world about the love of God to every person.

Bringing in all those fish, against advice of the experts (the fishermen themselves), Jesus was able to transform their perception and encourage them. As a result they caught many fish.

Each fish is an individual, like you and me.
This story is a story for our lives. Everyone loved by God – everyone has a different story to tell.

The film “Finding Nemo” resonates a similar message.

It tells the story of the overprotective Ocellaris clownfish named Marlin who, along with a regal blue tang named Dory, searches for his abducted son Nemo all the way to Sydney Harbour. Along the way, Marlin learns to take risks and comes to terms with Nemo taking care of himself.

Each character fish in the film is different, just as we are different, and because of our uniqueness is loved by God.
