Allesley Woodland Burial Tree Planting Service

Today at 2.30pm over 100 people gathered at the Allesley Woodland Burial Ground for the Tree Planting Service. With their spades friends and relatives, some as far as Devon, came to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones departed. The service was held on the site by Reverend Elizabeth Kerr, who oversaw the trees and bushes planted on the eleven burials.
Becky Clarke from Allesley Village said,
“It was a lovely, gentle, and informal service. The sun shone, and families were looking after their own trees. It was a very happy experience.”
