Further to the interview held recently, the PCC are delighted to announce that the Reverend Sarah Ashelby, who is curate with the Bridge Benefice and is currently on placement at St Laurence Foleshill, will, subject to the normal formalities, be the Rector at Allesley.
A date for Sarah’s licensing service will be confirmed by Simon Taylor, Assistant to the Archdeacons shortly. Thank you for your prayers during this time. Please continue to pray for us, and for Sarah and family as they prepare to leave their current church and move to Allesley to serve our church and community here.
Sarah says: I am absolutely thrilled that Bishop Ruth has invited me to take on the role of Rector at All Saints. I am married to Mike, who works part time for a Coventry-based technology company which works with charities to help them meet their charitable aims. Mike enjoys computers, music and the great outdoors. We have two children; Layla who is 12 and is passionate about dancing, and Reuben, 11 (very very soon) who is passionate about Rubik’s cubes! We all love getting away in our VW campervan. Mike and I have lived in Coventry for over 20 years and are grateful God has called us to stay and serve the city we love in a new way, in a new community. We are very much looking forward to being with you as a family and making Allesley, and All Saints, our home.
