Robin and Ru TrewHello, I'm Robin Trew, the Rector of Allesley. I'd like to welcome you to the All Saints Allesley Web Site.

I've been here since 2002 and I can safely say that you meet all sorts of people at All Saints! We're a church with a real sense of community and an awareness of being part of our local community. We have a growing sense too, of being part of the community of Christ's people throughout the world and of our responsibility to share the good things that God is giving us.

Of course, the most important thing that He has given us is our faith in Jesus. In all the activities and opportunities that we have, that's the thing we value most. In fact we value it so much that we'd like to give it away!

January 2010 - Community

"Hmm" said God, thoughtfully - and that was a surprise.

It was a surprise to the animals, not to mention the fish, the plants, the sea, the land or even the moon, sun and stars. All God had said before was "Let there BE" and "It is good". This new note of dissatisfaction was very worrying. Then God said "It is not good" but he went on to say "For man to live alone". So we learnt that God is on the side of community; people in contact, conversation, love. God wasn't so bothered with making one perfect human being in His image.
